KGT Employment is passionate about providing sustainable training and employment opportunities. We believe that through the completion of a traineeship or apprenticeship the lives of individuals, their families and the community can be benefited
KGT was formed in 1993 by Ian Trust, Chairman of Wunan Regional Council, with the ambition to assist the youth of the region in finding employment. It later expanded to the West Kimberley, with a particularly strong focus on enhancing and increasing opportunities for Indigenous Australians. Since becoming an incorporated organisation in 1997, KGT Employment has become recognised as a leading service provider in the management of Indigenous and non- Indigenous apprentices in the Kimberley region.
KGT Employment predominantly works with Indigenous participants, the majority of whom are not ready to enter institutional based training and have many barriers to overcome before they are ready to enter the workforce.
KGT has offices in Kununurra and Broome servicing the entire Kimberley, including remote Aboriginal communities.
