This pre-apprenticeship course develops your skills through a wide range of tasks and use of various materials for the plumbing industry, such as sheet metal practices and levelling. This course will prepare graduates with the skills and knowledge for entry level into an apprenticeship within the plumbing industry. Gain the hands-on experience needed to start your career in plumbing today. Learn how to perform tasks such as welding, use of hand and power tools and levelling. Other subjects covered include building structures, plumbing fittings and fixtures, first aid and cut and flash penetrations.
Applicants/students must be a minimum 16 years of age and have completed a minimum of Year 10 at school. If the student is under 18 years of age, they must have a completed release form from their school. Due to the high demand for this course, applicants may be advised of further intake requirements, and asked to attend an interview. On successful completion of this course, participants will be given direct credit for limited units in the Certificate III in Plumbing Apprenticeship.
Graduates of this course may gain employment in the Plumbing area of the building industry through an Australian Apprenticeship.
