Certificate II in Floristry (Assistant)

Pre-apprenticeship Description

This qualification will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to apply for roles in the floristry industry at an assistant level. The floristry environments may include traditional retail floristry shops, studios and floristry businesses who sell via the internet or phone. You will learn basic construction skills and techniques for items such as bunches, bouquets, boxed arrangements, table centres and basic wired items such as corsages and buttonholes. You will also learn floristry specific operational subjects focusing on floristry stock, including recognising, receiving, storing, preparing and caring for flowers, as well as sourcing floristry stock, floristry displays and merchandising.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age and possess an aptitude for floristry.
