Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-vocational)

Pre-apprenticeship Description

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-vocational) provides exposure to the various trades which come under the electrical industry umbrella. The course provides the opportunity to understand the electrical trades industry terminology, basic circuitry and colour coding which enables the student to communicate with prospective employers.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants/students should have completed Year 11 with studies in maths and science preferred. Completing this course will increase your chances of being selected as an electrical apprentice. This program prepares graduates to apply for an electrical apprenticeship and allows students to gain experience in the electrotechnology industry Credit Transfers consist of ETE005 Fix & Secure, ETE003 Solve problems in low voltage circuits, ETE002 Fabricate, Assemble & Disassemble electrical apparatus, ETE004 Solve problems in DC Circuits, ETE007 Use Drawings & Diagrams. Equates to 180 hour reduction in attendance time for Certificate III Electrician.
