Pre-apprenticeship Description

Can’t wait to start your career as an electrician? Our Certificate II in Electrotechnology is the perfect study option for you. Designed as a transition from school to employment, you’ll learn fundamental workplace safety as well as basic skills and knowledge to prepare you for an apprenticeship in an electrotechnology field. Successful completion of the course will give you credits towards a First Year Apprenticeship in the electrical trade.

Eligibility Requirements

Students should contact their School Careers Officer. Students must currently be attending secondary high school to enrol into this course and have approval from a school representative to do so. However, students commencing Year 12 in 2018 are NOT eligible for this program as they will not complete the required content before completion of school. For further information please contact the Schools Liason Officer. Students should also have attained an intermediate level of Mathematics. Science is highly recommended.
