Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry)

Pre-apprenticeship Description

This course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to prepare you for work or further study within the building and construction industry. You will receive an introduction to the industry and workplace safety, as well as how to perform industry calculations and use carpentry hand and power tools. You will cover topics such as sub-floor construction, wall and roof framing, installing window frames and doorframes and formwork for concreting. You will also develop your communication skills and learn about workplace documents and plans.

Eligibility Requirements

You must have successfully completed Year 10 of education, or equivalent.
