Pre-apprenticeship Description

The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Wall and Ceiling Lining) is offered as a pre-apprenticeship to local students. This pre-apprenticeship course develops your skills through a wide range of tasks and use of various materials for the plastering industry including installation of plaster sheets and ornamental products to timber and metal framing, correct use of hand and power tools in the plastering industry, basic first aid, introduction to scaffolding and levelling. This course offers rolling enrolments. Please contact Melbourne Polytechnic directly for further information.

Eligibility Requirements

Minimum age requirement for applicants is 16 years of age. If the student is under 18 years, they must have a completed release form from their school. Please contact Melbourne Polytechnic for course commencement dates and enrolment information. Students will receive a reduction in training by approximately 6 months when they return as apprentices.
