Pre-apprenticeship Description

The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Bricklaying) is offered as a pre-apprenticeship to local students. Melbourne Polytechnic will give you a great preparation for a career in bricklaying. You will learn skills and knowledge such as reading and interpreting plans; levelling and scaffolding; using hand and power tools; veneer construction; using small plant and equipment; and masonry blockwork. 1-2 weeks work experience is included in the course duration.

Eligibility Requirements

If applicant is under 18 years of age, they must have a completed release form from their school. The minimum age requirement is 16 years of age. Please contact Melbourne Polytechnic for course commencement dates and enrolment information.
