22304VIC Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-apprenticeship) is a specifically designed pre-apprenticeship course that provides an opportunity for participants to develop the necessary work-ready skills and knowledge as the perfect starting point for a career in the plumbing industry. The Certificate II in Plumbing is ideal for school leavers who wish to gain practical knowledge and skills to enhance their employability as an apprentice plumber. It is also a great way for mature aged applicants to start a career change. This course is open to all applicants regardless of age or gender.
Students will need to bring: Long Sleeve Cotton Work Wear or Overalls, Safety Boots, Clear Safety Glasses, Pen, Pencil, Paper, Calculator. Units you will be studying will be outlined before you start this course. We will discuss these in our information sessions. You will need to be able to write legibly. Students are expected to:
• Follow Workplace Health and Safety practices
• Read and Understand theory materials
• Comprehend and respond to questions requiring short written answers
• Deal with basic math’s (e.g. add, subtract & multiply)
Support is available to help students who may have difficulty meeting the above requirements. Some of these skills may be improved through the learning processes.
