Working as a Protected Horticulture Supervisor you will direct, delegate and manage staff productivity. You will monitor plant nutrition and watering and implement pest and disease management and plant nutrition programs.

Summary of Training

Supervise work routines and staff performance
Lead team effectiveness
Manage a small team
Monitor the implementation of quality and food safety programs

Elective Units – 11 required

Cost a project
Develop a plan for a hydroponic system
Supervise maintenance of property, machinery and equipment
Plan a growing-on program
Plan a propagation program
Diagnose plant health problems
Develop a crop regulation program
Develop a soil health and plant nutrition program
Recommend plants and cultural practices
Develop a horticultural production plan
Implement a pest management plan
