Outdoor Recreation Program Manager

Working as an Outdoor Recreation Program Manager you will most probably work for commercial, not-for-profit and government organisations that deliver outdoor recreation activities. You will be responsible for the management of field locations such as holiday camps.

  • Coordinate client service activities
  • Coordinate emergency responses
  • Coordinate work teams or groups
  • Manage legal compliance in sport and recreation

Elective Units - 15 required

  • Bushwalk in extremely difficult tracked and untracked environments
  • Cross rivers during bushwalks
  • Lead bushwalks in extremely difficult tracked and untracked environments
  • Navigate in extremely difficult tracked and untracked environments
  • Facilitate adventure-based learning activities
  • Lead challenge course sessions, high elements
  • Set up and supervise challenge course sessions, high elements
  • Manage challenge course
  • Coordinate facility and equipment acquisition and maintenance
  • Develop and implement community programs
  • Manage volunteer workforce development
  • Engage respectfully with young people
  • Develop and implement procedures to enable young people to address their needs
  • Develop and manage a budget
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
