ESI Operations Technical Officer

Working as an ESI Operations Technical Officer, employees develop operational procedures and systems, manage the start-up and shut down of boilers and turbines, hydro plant, gas turbines; implement safe working practices and environmental procedures; manage and supervise others and coordinate work activities of individuals and teams.

  • Analyse single protection device operation
  • Interpret and analyse multi-operation protection devices
  • Plan and organise work
  • Coordinate team activities
  • Coordinate response to critical incidents
  • Control electrical energy production
  • Manage Work, Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Manage permit to work system
  • Manage quality control procedures
  • Manage operational crisis to maintain or restore power system integrity
