Aged Care Enrolled Nurse

Working as an Enrolled Nurse in an aged care facility you will lead a team in providing quality personal, social and emotional care and support. You will provide medication administration and wound care and have effective record keeping skills. Note: Entry requirements apply.

Summary of Training

Core Units – 3 required

  • Provide advanced clinical assessment
  • Research and report on nursing trends and practice
  • Contribute to quality improvement for advancement of clinical practice

Elective Units – 7 required

  • Provide end-of-life care and a palliative approach in nursing practice       
  • Provide support to people living with dementia
  • Implement case management practice
  • Provide person-centred services to people with disability with complex needs
  • Apply nursing practice in contemporary aged care settings           
  • Develop, facilitate and review all aspects of case management
  • Facilitate the empowerment of people with disability
