EEHA Senior Technical Officer

Working as an EEHA Senior Technical Officer you will develop and implement inspection planning and scheduling activities. You will monitor and report on inspection progress, collaborate on design of hazardous area equipment and processes, and prepare recovery plans. Note: Entry requirements apply.

  • Apply physics to solving electrotechnology engineering problems
  • Compile and produce an energy sector detailed report
  • Develop design briefs for electrotechnology projects
  • Establish and follow a competency development plan in an electrotechnology engineering discipline
  • Implement and monitor energy sector WHS policies and procedures
  • Manage risk in electrotechnology activities
  • Provide engineering solutions for problems in complex multiple path circuits
  • Provide solutions to basic engineering computational problems  
  • Apply methods to maintain currency of industry developments
  • Write specifications for electrical engineering projects
  • Use engineering applications software on personal computers
  • Manage large electrical projects
  • Plan large electrical projects
  • Provide engineering solutions to problems in complex polyphase power circuits 
  • Enter a classified hazardous area to undertake work related to electrical equipment
  • Classify areas where a combustible dust hazard may arise
  • Classify areas where flammable gas or vapour hazards may arise
  • Determine the explosion-protection requirements to meet a specified classified hazardous area
  • Manage continuous supervision inspection of electrical installations for hazardous area
  • Develop strategies to address environmental and sustainability issues in the energy sector
  • Develop and manage periodic electrical inspection and maintenance programs for hazardous areas
  • Perform compliance audits of hazardous areas and related electrical installation 
  • Analyse materials for suitability in electrical equipment
  • Design explosion-protected of electrical systems and installations
