Lifting Services Supervisor

Working as a Lifting Services Supervisor you will provide direction and guidance to crane operators and rigging personnel and supervise lifts. You will delegate lift program and completion schedules, and monitor the safety performance of crane crew and teams.

  • Licence to perform dogging
  • Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
  • Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • Identify construction work hazards and select risk control strategies
  • Conduct daily inspections on mobile cranes
  • Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • Process workplace documentation
  • Monitor the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility)
  • Apply accident-emergency procedures
  • Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
  • Monitor plant and equipment in an environmentally sustainable manner
  • Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (over 100 tonnes)       
  • Plan a mobile crane lift operation
  • Prepare a mobile crane for lift
  • Check and assess operational capabilities of equipment
  • Undertake site inspection
  • Plan and conduct specialised lift
  • Follow mobile crane safety procedures
