Electrical/Electronic Production Technology Worker

Employees provide support to an electrical/electronic assembly line. This may include assisting in assembly work, reworking faulty assemblies, ensuring equipment is set up for production runs and that tools and parts are made available on time and to the right assembly stations. Skills required include assembly, planning, ordering of parts and statistical quality control. Hand tools and soldering equipment are also used.
Note - This qualification is aligned to the C11 classification in the Metal Engineering and Associated Industries Award and would typically be associated with positions such as senior operators, senior warehouse personnel and machine setters. It is not suitable as an entry level traineeship in most enterprises. It may be suitable for an existing worker traineeship.
