Senior Survey Technician

Working as a Senior Survey Technician in the mining industry you will assist in the delivery of open pit and underground surveying including survey mark-up of planned development and geology mapping pick-ups. You will engage in project work to optimise mining efficiencies, write reports and provide maintenance and validation of the survey database and equipment calibration. Note: Entry requirements apply.

Summary of Training

  • Manage project risk
  • Conduct advanced GNSS control surveys
  • Conduct advanced remote sensing analysis
  • Develop 2-D and 3-D terrain visualisations           
  • Conduct open pit mine surveys
  • Produce mine drawings
  • Conduct underground mine surveys
  • Conduct mining geology project research
  • Compile mine survey plans
