Thermal Performance Assessor

Working as a Thermal Performance Assessor you will perform energy ratings, provide advice and develop strategies to clients on how to be cost effective and provide an energy efficient environment.

Summary of Training

  • Identify risk and apply risk management processes
  • Manage own work, professional development and ethical behaviour
  • Research and assess impact of building elements on thermal performance of residential buildings
  • Advise clients on thermal performance of residential buildings
  • Read plans, drawings and specifications for residential buildings
  • Operate and maintain computer system to support thermal performance assessments
  • Conduct thermal performance assessment of residential buildings
  • Conduct thermal performance assessment of complex residential buildings
  • Participate in a quality audit
  • Address customer needs
  • Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Apply building codes and standards to residential buildings
  • Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • Identify and apply sustainability rating tools
  • Contribute to sustainable solutions throughout a building’s life cycle
