Stock and Station Agent

Stock and Station Agents usually operate in rural areas. They advise and represent farmers, graziers in business transactions such as the buying and selling of livestock, wool, fertiliser, farming and grazing land and, equipment and merchandise.

  • Plan for and complete sale of rural property by auction
  • Prepare livestock for sale at saleyards
  • Select livestock for sale
  • Sell livestock by private sale
  • Work in the stock and station agency sector
  • Act as a buyer's agent
  • Establish and build client-agency relationships
  • Establish and manage agency trust accounts
  • Identify legal and ethical requirements of property management to complete agency work
  • Appraise rural property
  • Conduct auction of rural property
