Motorcycle Repair Technician

Working as a Motorcycle Repair Technician you use diagnostic procedures to determine faults; repair and service engines and engine components, cooling systems, petrol fuel systems, emission control systems, clutch assemblies, manual transmissions, drivelines, braking, steering and suspension systems. You may also service and repair, scooters, mopeds, dirt bikes and other similar vehicles.

  • Diagnose and repair light vehicle steering systems
  • Carry out mechanical pre-repair operations
  • Select and use bearings, seals, gaskets, sealants and adhesives
  • Diagnose and repair exhaust systems
  • Carry out manual metal arc welding on components
  • Carry out basic gas metal arc welding
