The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service (AATIS) has partnered with WorldSkills Australia to promote the importance of skills and training, at Skills Show Australia 2018 in Sydney this June.
The Skills Show is Australia’s only complete VET showcase and will be held on June 2nd - June 4th at the International Conference Centre in Sydney.
Since 1981, WorldSkills Australia has been partnering with education providers, industry insiders and government to promote a skills-based culture and celebrate the importance of vocational education and training.
The purpose of the Skills Show is to promote the VET sector and help young Australians to understand the many benefits and pathways that vocational training has to offer.
AATIS - a source of information
As a WorldSkills Australia partner, AATIS will be a source of useful information for students, education providers, parents, career advisers and industry insiders.
AATIS Director, Peta Skujins, believes the partnership will play an important role in promoting and celebrating the opportunities found in the VET sector.
“Look around and you’ll notice a large amount of what you see was created by a vocationally trained workforce, from buildings and desks to hair salons and restaurants,” she says.
“The partnership between WorldSkills Australia and AATIS creates an information pathway through inspirational stories and practical details about potential apprenticeships and traineeships.”
AATIS is devoted to being the leading source of apprenticeship and traineeship information for any student or job hunter looking to kick start their career.
