Australian Government launches new campaign: We, The Skilled

The Australian Government has launched a new campaign aimed at young people and those looking for work.

The campaign is titled 'We, The Skilled', and has been developed in an effort to engage more people in Vocational Education and Training.

We, The Skilled will run until the end of June, with a number of visual campaign materials available for download on the yourcareer.gov.au/skills website.

Department of Education, Skills and Employment publishes Australian Apprenticeships Priority List

Last week, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment published the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List,
which identifies trade, community and personal services occupations identified as experiencing national skills shortage.

The list identifies occupations classified by the Australian Bureau of Statistics as Technician and Trade Workers and Community and Personal Service Workers and assessed by the National Skills Commission as being in national skills shortage.

Successful organisations for the New Employment Services Model 2022 announced

As part of the introduction of Workforce Australia, on 8 September 2021 the Department of Education, Skills and Employment released the Request for Proposal for the New Employment Services Model 2022 seeking responses from organisations interested in delivering one or more of the following services:

- Workforce Australia Services (previously referred to as Enhanced Services - Generalist and Specialist)
- Employability Skills Training
- Career Transition Assistance

A list of successful organisations for each service is available on the department’s Employment Services Tenders website.
