Victorian Government launches new Horticulture Traineeship program

The Victorian Government has launched a new program aimed at increasing the amount of traineeship commencements in the agriculture and horticulture industries.

The government will spend $600,000 on pilot programs in the Goulburn Valley, Sunraysia, and Gippsland that will involve people working in the industry and towards a certificate two or three in horticulture and agriculture.

The traineeship program will be managed and run by Apprenticeship Employment Network.

Labour announces it will re-instate multiple TAFE courses in South Australia

The new Labour administration in South Australia has announced that it will reinstate a number of TAFE SA courses axed under the former government.

Classes in aged and disability care, as well as childhood care and education are set to return to Adelaide campuses.

Classes will re-open to students in the second semester of 2022.

Multimillion-dollar redevelopment of Chisholm TAFE’s Frankston Campus

Work is officially underway on the multimillion-dollar redevelopment of Chisholm TAFE’s Frankston Campus, which will be transformed into a world-class training precinct to help thousands of locals get the skills they need for the jobs they want.

The new multi-level learning facility will deliver 9,600 square metres of learning spaces including industry-specific work environments alongside bespoke spaces for Art and Design courses and VCE/VCAL and Foundation College courses.
