AATIS is a proud sponsor of the 2020 ACT Training Awards

The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service (AATIS) is proud to announce their 2020 Sponsorship of the ACT Training Awards. As a Silver Sponsor of this event, AATIS is assisting Skills Canberra in delivering the event and showing their support to the VET industry.

The ACT Training Awards, which in 2020 are being held as a virtual event on September 10, are an annual opportunity to showcase the commitment, innovation and outstanding achievements of those involved in the ACT vocational education and training (VET) sector.

“The annual Training Awards are a way for everyone in the VET sector to acknowledge the hard work of Australian Apprentices, their employers and their training providers,” Said Dr Peta Skujins, AATIS Director.

“This year, we are very excited to also sponsor the Medium Employer of the Year award and celebrate their input into the future of both their apprentices and their industry,” Peta said. “Employers are such an integral part of apprenticeships and at AATIS we have been working towards helping them navigate the apprenticeships space and recognising their crucial role in this industry.”

The ACT Medium Employer of the Year Award recognises a medium enterprise which has achieved excellence in the provision of nationally recognised training to its employees. Winners of this award have demonstrated a commitment to training its employees and encouraging and assisting them in their employment-related development.

Winners from the 2020 ACT Training Awards (in aligned categories) have the opportunity to compete with winners from other states and territories at the Australian Training Awards.

“We would like to send our best wishes to all nominees from the ACT, and across Australia,” Peta said.

Through showcasing best practice, the awards promote continuous improvement and innovation in the design and delivery of VET. This contributes to national and international awareness and respect for Australia’s VET sector and the importance of the sector in meeting Australia’s workforce needs.

“The value of being involved in this event is not just the opportunity to win, but also the opportunity to network with other people in your industry, build confidence as a public speaker, and to understand the value that every cog in the wheel has in the Australian VET sector.”

AATIS would like to extend their best wishes to all nominees. The winners will be announced throughout the virtual event which is being held at 6pm AEST, September 10 2020.
