ICT20115 - Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology

This is an entry level qualification that provides the foundation skills and knowledge to use information and communications technology (ICT) in any industry.

ICT20215 - Certificate II in Telecommunications Network Build and Operate

This qualification is a pathway for entry into work on the National Broadband Network (NBN).

ICT20315 - Certificate II in Telecommunications Technology

Suitable training for new entrants into the telecommunications industry who can apply a range of competencies in a varied work context from installation to operation of telecommunications equipment and products.

ICT20413 - Certificate II in Telecommunications Digital Reception Technology

This qualification covers limited fault finding on a range of digital reception equipment for both cable TV and free to air TV reception.

ICT20613 - Certificate II in National Broadband Network Construction

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to enhance entry-level employment prospects in apprenticeships and traineeships in a range of NBN industry occupations specifically for the national rollout of high speed broadband network infrastructure.

ICT30115 - Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology

This qualification covers training in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions. Trainees would support information technology activities in the workplace in ICT areas such as technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications and digital media technologies.

ICT30215 - Certificate III in Telecommunications Digital Reception Technology

Suitable training  for operators working in the telecommunications industry who can apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context of installation of a limited range of digital reception equipment for either a customer or an enterprise. Fault-finding skills on a range of digital reception equipment for Subscription TV and Free-to-air TV reception are acquired.

ICT30315 - Certificate III in Telecommunications Rigging Installation

This qualification prepares an individual for entry into the telecommunications industry and its convergent technologies, including radio, optical, data and internet protocol (IP) networks.

ICT30415 - Certificate III in Telecommunications Network Build and Operate

This qualification is a pathway for specialised work on the National Carrier Wholesale, Carrier Retail or Private Commercial Broadband Networks (NBN). There are specialist streams: Broadband Installer/Telecommunications Linesworker/Installer/Technician; Hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC) Operatives; Metallic Copper Jointer; and Telecommunications Fibre Splicer.

ICT30515 - Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology

This qualification prepares an individual for entry into the telecommunications industry and its convergent technologies, including radio, optical, data and internet protocol (IP) networks.

ICT40115 - Certificate IV in Information Technology

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range of general ICT technologies and to support small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that require broader rather than more specialised ICT support. People apply a wide range of knowledge and skills in basic networking, ICT support, database development, programming and web development support; working safely and ethically in a sustainable work environment.

ICT40215 - Certificate IV in Information Technology Support

This qualification is suitable for an individual supporting clients in a range of technical areas. It has a strong information technology base with the potential for inclusion of a range of broader industry-specific units in the areas of service desk, database, sustainability and network support to suit particular needs.

ICT40315 - Certificate IV in Web-Based Technologies

This qualification covers how to design, develop, build and administer websites using a range of website technologies.

ICT40415 - Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to install and manage small scale networks, either as an independent network support technician or as part of a team.

ICT40515 - Certificate IV in Programming

This qualification covers basic programming skills in the most commonly used programming languages. An individual with this qualification could work as an assistant programmer in a team of software developers, or as a support programmer to senior programmers or systems analysts.

ICT40615 - Certificate IV in Information Technology Testing

This qualification covers a range of information and communications technology (ICT) positions directly related to testing, either as an assistant tester, working mostly independently or as part of a team.

ICT40715 - Certificate IV in Systems Analysis and Design

A suitable qualification for those who work as part of a project team to analyse and redesign existing systems to meet client business requirements.

ICT40815 - Certificate IV in Digital Media Technologies

This qualification covers designing, developing and using digital media technologies as an assistant information and communications technology (ICT) specialist.

ICT40915 - Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in supporting the design, development and programming of basic digital games briefs as part of a larger development team.

ICT41015 - Certificate IV in Computer Systems Technology

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge for an individual to install and administer simple networks, servers, and client desktop deployments either as an independent information and communications technology (ICT) specialist or as part of a team.

ICT41115 - Certificate IV in Telecommunications Network Design

This qualification is suitable training for technicians to develop a range of telecommunications skills and extensive knowledge of the access, building and core networks and client capabilities of the service provider. Graduates can design the customer access network, design the building network, design the core network for the service provider and asset owner and design carrier equipment infrastructure.

ICT41215 - Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering Technology

This qualification reflects the role of an advanced technician (technical officer), team leader or supervisor with a wide range of telecommunications skills who can install and maintain: enterprise networks in emerging and converging technologies; optical and wireless equipment for high speed broadband network infrastructure; internet protocol (IP) based network telecommunications equipment; IP based networks in home networks and small and medium enterprises; telecommunications, data cabling and cabling products in line with the specifications of the access network owner; and telecommunications access network cabling and infrastructure, systems and customer equipment.

ICT50115 - Diploma of Information Technology

Suitable training for those who administer and manage information and communications technology (ICT) support in small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) using a wide range of general ICT technologies.

ICT50215 - Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games

This qualification covers a variety of skill areas within the digital and interactive games industry. It provides an opportunity to develop the design, graphic/digital media and programming skills required in the development of digital games briefs, either as a small independent specialist or as part of a larger team.

ICT50315 - Diploma of Information Technology Systems Administration

This qualification covers administering a variety of networked computer systems. It has a strong information technology base with the potential for inclusion of a range of broader industry-specific units in the areas of virtualisation, sustainability and project management.

ICT50415 - Diploma of Information Technology Networking

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks, including internetworking, security and e-business integration.

ICT50515 - Diploma of Database Design and Development

Suitable training for those working in the design and development of ICT database systems.

ICT50615 - Diploma of Website Development

This qualification is appropriate for individuals who design, build and manage websites as an independent web developer or as part of a team.

ICT50715 - Diploma of Software Development

An appropriate qualification for someone working in programming and software development. A person with this qualification would create new software products to meet an initial project brief or customise existing software products to meet customer needs.

ICT50815 - Diploma of Systems Analysis and Design

This qualification is suitable for those who to determine client business requirements and who support a project team in the analysis and redesign of systems to ensure they meet client needs.

ICT50915 - Diploma of Digital Media Technologies

Appropriate trainin for those responsible for designing, developing and refining digital media technologies as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. It provides the opportunity to work in new and emerging digital media technology areas, such as online, and interactive design and development, and with tools and equipment, such as software, Web 2 tools, technologies and mobile devices.

ICT51015 - Diploma of Telecommunications Engineering

This qualification reflects the role of a technical specialist, with high level skills and knowledge in telecommunications and information technology (IT) networks using internet protocol (IP) systems. The following specialisations can be achieved: management; network engineering; optical networks; or radio communications.

ICT51115 - Diploma of Telecommunications Planning and Design

Suitable training for technical specialists to develop a range of telecommunications skills and extensive knowledge of the core and access network capabilities of the service provider. An individual in this role can: plan the development of the customer access network infrastructure; plan the development of the core network for the service provider and asset owner; plan network capacity for new technology in products and services; and analyse demand data and evaluate network growth and impact on the network.

ICT60115 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology

This qualification provides high level information and communications technology (ICT), process improvement and business skills and knowledge to enable an individual to be effective in senior ICT roles within organisations.

ICT60215 - Advanced Diploma of Network Security

A suitable qualification for those who to plan, design, manage and monitor an enterprise information and communications technology (ICT) network as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team responsible for advanced ICT network security systems. The qualification has a high-level ICT technical base with appropriate security units and the ability to specialise in a number of areas, including voice, wireless, network infrastructure and sustainability.

ICT60315 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology Business Analysis

This qualification covers business analysis in an ICT environment, either as an independent ICT specialist or as leader of a team. Individuals who complete this qualification will be competent to analyse, identify and coordinate relevant ICT business solutions to meet given organisational goals.

ICT60415 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology Project Management

This qualification is appropriate for an individual who manages a range of information and communications technology (ICT) projects to meet customer requirements.

ICT60515 - Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology

This qualification is suitable for those who coordinate and administer the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of a range of networks, enterprise servers and systems, including internetworking, security and e-business solutions.
