This qualification reflects the role of individuals with the skills and knowledge to perform in a range of varied activities in the creative industries where there is a clearly defined range of contexts. 

CUA20220 - Certificate II in Creative Industries

This qualification reflects the role of individuals with the skills and knowledge to perform in a range of varied activities in the creative industries where there is a defined range of contexts. It applies to work in different work environments that include entertainment customer service, staging, television and radio production, broadcasting production, lighting and sound, theatre, scenery and set construction, screen and media, and film production. Individuals complete tasks with limited complexity and with required actions clearly defined.

CUA20415 - Certificate II in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing the basic creative and technical skills that underpin visual arts and craft practice in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural arts.

CUA20420 - Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts

This qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are developing the basic creative and technical skills that underpin arts practice in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural arts context. It applies to work in cultural arts environments within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

CUA20515 - Certificate II in Information and Cultural Services

Suitable for individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context, working under direct supervision.

CUA20520 - Certificate II in Information and Cultural Services

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in administrative and assistant type roles, including in galleries, museums and libraries. They possess the skills to work in a defined context under direct supervision with limited opportunities to work autonomously.

CUA20615 - Certificate II in Music Industry

Appropriate for individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks in the music industry, work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context.

CUA20620 - Certificate II in Music

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of routine tasks in the music industry, work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. They may work in environments that require foundational skills in music performance, music making or composition, sound production, or music business.

CUA20720 - Certificate II in Visual Arts

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing the basic creative and technical skills that underpin visual arts and craft practice. It applies to work in different visual arts, craft and design environments.

CUA30415 - Certificate III in Live Production and Services

Appropriate for individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in providing services for the entertainment industry. They may provide assistance with technical support to a team.

CUA30420 - Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in providing services for the entertainment industry. It applies to work in scenery and set construction, lighting and sound, arts administration, entertainment customer service, music industry, film production, staging, broadcasting production, live production, entertainment administration, and entertainment technical operations work environments.

CUA30520 - Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts

This qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are developing different art skills in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural arts context and who take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of introductory art theory and cultural history. The outcomes of this qualification apply to work in cultural arts environments within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

CUA30615 - Certificate III in Arts Administration

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in administrative roles across a range of arts organisations, such as galleries, museums, theatres and community arts centres.

CUA30620 - Certificate III in Arts and Cultural Administration

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in administrative roles across a range of arts organisations, including galleries, museums, theatres and community arts centres. It applies to individuals who work in arts administration, customer service and entertainment administration environments.

CUA30715 - Certificate III in Design Fundamentals

 This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills and who take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning.

CUA30720 - Certificate III in Design Fundamentals

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills and who take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning. Practice at this level is underpinned by the design process and introductory theory and history for a range of design contexts.

CUA30815 - Certificate III in Broadcast Technology

This training is for operators in the television and radio broadcasting and allied industries, who apply a broad range of competencies associated with the selection, procurement, installation and maintenance of equipment and software in a varied work context. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

CUA30915 - Certificate III in Music Industry

This qualification is suitable for individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context in the music industry. They may provide support to a team.

CUA30920 - Certificate III in Music

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in various work contexts in the music industry. They use some discretion, judgement and theoretical knowledge, and may undertake routine activities and provide support to a team or work group. They may work in music performance, sound production, music creation and composition, music business.

CUA31015 - Certificate III in Screen and Media

Suitable training for operators in digital video, radio and online content creation, or a skilled assistant in the film and television production services who apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context.

CUA31020 - Certificate III in Screen and Media

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use basic skills and knowledge for work in skilled assistant or skilled assistant operator roles in the screen, media and entertainment industries. It applies to work in interactive digital media, film and television, radio, lighting and sound, content creation and technical broadcasting environments.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a range of visual art skills and who may take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning. It applies to work in different visual arts, craft and design environments. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of introductory art theory and history.

CUA40415 - Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a range of technical production jobs in creative arts industry environments. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. 

CUA40420 - Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a range of technical production jobs in creative arts industry environments. It applies to work in lighting and sound, music industry, entertainment customer service, entertainment technical operations, entertainment administration, staging, wardrobe, scenery and set construction, broadcasting production, live production and entertainment technical operations work environments.

CUA40620 - Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts

This qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who work in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural arts context and produce work that shows a well-developed command of technique in their chosen art form.

Suitable for individuals who have a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of integrated technical and theoretical knowledge and the ability to develop concepts and solutions in response to a brief.

CUA40720 - Certificate IV in Design

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills. The outcomes of this qualification apply to work in design roles across different work environments.

CUA40820 - Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of administrative contexts across a range of arts organisations, such as galleries, museums, theatres and community arts centres. It applies to individuals who work in performing arts, cultural, creative arts and entertainment administration environments.

CUA40915 - Certificate IV in Music Industry

Suitable training for individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in music performance, sound production or music business contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. 

CUA40920 - Certificate IV in Music

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in music performance, music creation and composition, sound production, or music business contexts. They may provide leadership and guidance to others and have limited responsibility for the output of others.

CUA41120 - Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of technical skills in photo imaging, including lighting, image capture, enhancements and manipulation and output. The outcomes of this qualification apply to a range of industry contexts including in retail, commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative, institutional and art photography work environments. These may be within organisations or of an independent nature.

CUA41215 - Certificate IV in Screen and Media

A suitable qualification for individuals who use basic skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts in the screen, media and entertainment industries.

CUA41220 - Certificate IV in Screen and Media

This qualification reflects the role of those who work in a range of screen and media industries, including animation and visual effects, specialist make-up services, film and television, radio and podcasting, lighting and sound, content creation and technical broadcasting environments.

CUA41320 - Certificate IV in Visual Arts

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are beginning to develop their own artistic voice and command of techniques in a range of art forms. It applies to work in different visual arts, craft and design work environments. Practice at this level is underpinned by application of broad and integrated technical and theoretical knowledge and the ability to analyse and use information from a range of sources. Individuals at this level usually operate autonomously, however they may provide some leadership and guidance to others with limited responsibility for the output of others.

CUA50720 - Diploma of Graphic Design

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who combine technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a range of visual communication challenges. Practice at this level is underpinned by application of design theory and practice and the ability to analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions.

CUA50815 - Diploma of Music Industry

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work, and/or that of a team, in their chosen field in the music industry.

CUA51015 - Diploma of Screen and Media

This qualification is for individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate the work of self and/or team in the film, television, radio and interactive media industries.

CUA51020 - Diploma of Screen and Media

This qualification reflects the role of those who work in a range of screen and media industries, including animation, gaming and digital effects, specialist make-up services, film and television, radio and podcasting, lighting and sound, and content creation environments.
