AVI20116 - Certificate II in Aviation (Flight Operations-Cargo Services)

This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a range of flight operations cargo service roles.

AVI20216 - Certificate II in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)

This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of ground operations and service roles.

AVI20316 - Certificate II in Aviation Transport Protection (Passenger and Non-Passenger Screener)

Training in this area provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of aviation security screening roles.

AVI20416 - Certificate II in Aviation Transport Protection (Checked Baggage Screener)

This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of aviation security screening roles.

AVI30116 - Certificate III in Aviation (Cabin Crew)

This qualification reflects the roles of cabin crew personnel performing normal and emergency cabin crew duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation operations. Cabin crew duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge to cabin service and cargo operations.

AVI30208 - Certificate III in Aviation (Flight Operations)

A general qualification suited to occupations such as cabin crew and cargo services operators. Training covers performance of a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

AVI30216 - Certificate III in Aviation (Rescue Crewman)

This qualification reflects the roles of flight crew personnel performing normal and emergency rescue crew duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation operations. Rescue crewman duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge within rotary wing operational environments.

AVI30316 - Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot - Visual Line of Sight)

This qualification is relevant to individuals operating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) within visual line of sight (VLOS), below 400 feet above ground level (AGL), in day visual meteorological conditions (VMC), outside of controlled airspace, greater than 3 nautical miles from an aerodrome, outside of populous areas. Remote pilot duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge within RPAS operational environments.

AVI30408 - Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)

A suitable general qualification for occupations in aerodrome operations, supervisory baggage handling, the airport reporting office and aircraft refuelling. It involves performance of a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

AVI30416 - Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)

AVI30516 - Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations)

 This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of aerodrome operations roles.

AVI40108 - Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot)

A general qualification for commercial aeroplane pilots. This qualification has been structured to align with applicable aviation licensing and regulatory requirements. Note: additional requirements must be fulfilled in line with the current Civil Aviation Safety Regulations before a licence will be issued. These requirements include theory tests, flying hours and a flight test.

AVI40116 - Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrewman)

This qualification reflects the roles of flight crew personnel performing normal and emergency aircrewman duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation operations. Aircrewman duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge within rotary wing operational environments.

AVI40216 - Certificate IV in Aviation (Aviation Supervision)

This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of ground operations and service roles.

AVI40316 - Certificate IV in Aviation (Flight Operations Supervision)

Individuals are trained to operate effectively in a broad range of aviation ground operations and service roles.

AVI50115 - Diploma of Aviation (Air Traffic Control)

This is a specialist qualification for Air Traffic Controllers in the Australian aviation industry. 

Work in civilian air traffic environments must be carried out in compliance with the relevant air traffic services Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulatory requirements and national operating standards.

This qualification is aligned to the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations CASR Part 65 Manual of Standards (MOS) ATC licencing requirements. Personnel seeking certification as an Air Traffic Controller are to apply to CASA in accordance with existing licencing procedures.

AVI50215 - Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane)

This qualification reflects the roles of flight crew personnel performing normal and emergency commercial pilot duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation flight operations. Flight crew duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge to a wide range of air transport operations, including passenger, charter and cargo operations.

AVI50516 - Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor)

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services usually within aviation Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) or flight training organisations. This qualification is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in an aviation workplace context, as a component of a structured vocational education and training (VET) program. Flight instruction duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation and vocational skills and knowledge to a wide range of learners, operating conditions and aviation environments.

AVI50616 - Diploma of Aviation (Aviation Management)

 This qualification reflects the roles of aviation management personnel performing ground operations duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation flight operations.Work includes applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge in support of a wide range of aerodrome and air transport operations, including passenger, charter, cargo, emergency service and government operations.

AVI60116 - Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Chief Flight Instructor)

This qualification reflects the roles of experienced flight instructors delivering training and assessment services usually within aviation Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) or flight training organisations. They may have a role in leading other flight instructors and flight examiners, and in providing mentoring or advice to new flight instructors and flight examiners, as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the flight training organisation.

Flight instruction duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation and vocational skills and knowledge involving a wide range of learners, operating conditions and aviation environments.

AVI60216 - Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Pilot in Command)

 This qualification reflects the roles of Multi-Crew Operations and Air Transport Pilots operating within Australian domestic, international and military aeroplane and helicopter operational environments.

Individuals working at this level will apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, judgement and defined responsibility in contexts that are subject to change, and within broad parameters to provide specialist advice and functions.
