Qualifications Summary

AMP20116 - Certificate II in Meat Processing (Food Services)

A suitable entry qualification for workers commencing work in meat enterprises which undertake specialised services. 

AMP20216 - Certificate II in Meat Processing (Smallgoods)

Suitable training for those who work in smallgoods establishments.

AMP20316 - Certificate II in Meat Processing (Abattoirs)

This is suitable entry level training for workers commencing work in an abattoir.

AMP20415 - Certificate II in Meat Processing (Meat Retailing)

Suitable training for people working in meat retailing enterprises.

AMP30116 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Boning Room)

Suitable training for workers in boning rooms or in meat wholesale enterprises which prepare meat cuts from whole carcases.

AMP30216 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Food Services)

This is a suitable qualification for workers in meat enterprises which undertake specialised services, such as preparing shelf ready packs from wholesalers or boning rooms, specialty meat cuts, gourmet meat, bulk value-added products, providing meat preparation customer service, and so on.

AMP30316 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Safety)

This qualification covers work activities undertaken by meat inspectors in meat processing enterprises whose duties include performing a post-mortem inspection and in some cases ante-mortem inspection.

AMP30416 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Rendering)

This qualification is for workers in rendering plant who operate meat rendering plants to produce meat meal, fertilisers and tallow.

AMP30516 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Slaughtering)

This qualification is suitable for workers undertaking slaughtering duties in abattoirs.

AMP30616 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (General)

This qualification covers work activities undertaken by workers in meat processing plants who are working across a broad range of areas in the enterprise.

AMP30716 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance)

This qualification applies to Quality Assurance Officers in a meat processing enterprise. These people would usually be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, testing and application of a QA program.

AMP30815 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher)

This qualification is the trade qualification for butchers.

AMP30916 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Smallgoods - General)

This qualification covers work activities undertaken by smallgoods producers working in larger, factory-type smallgoods enterprises. Factories will often use complex production machinery, and may not encompass the range of smallgoods production techniques found in traditional smallgoods enterprises.

AMP31016 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Smallgoods - Manufacture)

Suitable trianing for those who work for small to medium-sized traditional smallgoods enterprise which produces a range of smallgoods products.

AMP31116 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Livestock Handling)

Suitable training for team leaders working the yards or lairage. Typically people undertaking this qualification will have responsibility for the welfare, yarding and movement of stock in an abattoir.

AMP31216 - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Packing Operations)

This qualification covers the work activities undertaken by team leaders in a packing room of a meat processing operation. These workers will have responsibility for a group of people and for the smooth, safe and efficient running of the packing process. 

AMP40215 - Certificate IV in Meat Processing (General)

An appropriate qualification for workers at supervisory or post-trade level in the meat industry. It is designed to enable candidates to select a mix of technical and leadership units to suit their job roles and career requirements. 

AMP40315 - Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Leadership)

Suitable training for experienced meat workers who perform supervisory roles.

AMP40415 - Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance)

This qualification covers work activities undertaken by Quality Assurance officers in meat processing enterprises.

AMP40516 - Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety)

Appropriate training for meat inspectors in meat processing enterprises, usually at export processing plants. It covers the duties of a meat inspector performing post-mortem inspection and, in some cases, ante-mortem inspection.

AMP50115 - Diploma of Meat Processing (Meat Retailing)

 The qualification is for people who are in a management position or who have the potential to move into these positions. People who enter this qualification will usually have substantial experience in a meat retailing sector, and will be seeking to improve their business expertise and experience.

AMP50215 - Diploma of Meat Processing

 The qualification is for people who are in a management position or who have the potential to move into these positions. People who enter this qualification will usually have substantial experience in a meat industry sector, and will be seeking to improve their business expertise and experience.

AMP60115 - Advanced Diploma of Meat Processing

The qualification is for people who are in a management position and who seek to move into senior positions within their own enterprise or in related industry originations.
