Search for an AASN provider

Search for an AASN provider

Every employer needs an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider to sign up their apprentice or trainee before starting the Australian Apprenticeship.

During the sign up process the AASN provider will give all parties information about their rights and responsibilities. They will administer the required paperwork, including the contract of training.

You can organise for an AASN provider to come to your workplace to conduct the sign up.

Consider the contract requirements

Consider the contract requirements

Each state and territory has different legal requirements regarding the contract of training. Your AASN provider can discuss these requirements so you understand your contractual obligations to your apprentice or trainee.

You can find more information about how Australian Apprenticeships work in your region by visiting your state or territory training authority website.

Your apprentice or trainee will need to undertake a formal qualification with a Registered Training Organisation. They will also develop and practice skills through their work on the job.

Once your apprentice or trainee is signed up by the AASN provider, they can get started with their formal training. You can discuss the timing of this during sign up.

The training provider will develop a training plan. This will govern the formal training elements of the apprenticeship or traineeship, but can be changed in consultation with the training provider if needed.
