We’re very excited to announce that we will still be holding our 2020 Information Sessions. Like many events across the nation, these sessions will now be held online but that’s not all that we’ve changed to ensure that we can continue to bring you latest information about The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service.
What’s staying the same:
As per previous years, we will still be holding individual sessions for each State and Territory. This is so that we can ensure that throughout the session, we can provide you with the information that is relevant to your workload.
We will also ensure that our sessions remain interactive. We know the best way to get the information you need is to ask questions, and as such spots will be limited to facilitate this.
These events will also remain free events – however this year you will have to bring your own coffee (sorry).
This year, the biggest change is that our sessions will be held online. We will be hosting our workshops via ClickMeeting which is an interactive browser-based meeting platform.
Another change is that this year, our information sessions will be divided into two virtual workshops.
The breakfast session, ‘What employers want to know about Australian Apprenticeships’, we will launch the preliminary results of our research around the most important information that employers need when taking on an apprentice or trainee. This session is a must-attend for anyone working directly with employers, including staff from AASNs, GTOs, RTOs, employment services, and schools. Attendees will also get the chance to win a breakfast hamper supplied by an employer profiled during the session.
The second mid-morning session, ‘An overview of AATIS resources’, will be our official launch of the first series of AATIS videos, showcasing some of the widely used AATIS resources and how to access/use them. This session is meant for anyone new to the apprenticeships sector or anyone looking for free resources about Australian Apprenticeships including staff from AASNs, GTOs, RTOs, government departments, employment services providers, and careers advisers and school staff. We will also be launching some new resources – so anyone familiar with our resources can still tune in!
Since these are interactive workshops, there are limited seats available, and anyone interested is encouraged to sign-up to ensure their spot. Please be sure to register for the session you wish to attend in your State or Territory. Your are welcome to attend both sessions in your region.
